About Gangneung Coast
Gangneung is a city that meets the East Sea. Gyeongpo Lake, the Gyeongpodae pavilion and the long sandy beach in front of them have drawn visitors for a very long time.
Ojukheon, the house where the scholar Yulgok Yi I was born, is also in Gangneung. During the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, the ice events were held in this city.
Because it faces the eastern sea, on winter mornings the sun rises straight up over the horizon. In the cold, clear air, waves roll in white from far away.
While you listen
Listen while thinking of waves rolling in slowly from far away. It doesn't have to be New Year's Day; feeling that you're starting this morning fresh is enough.
Getting there
Take the KTX from Seoul Station or Cheongnyangni Station to Gangneung Station, then a city bus to the beach.
