About Chuncheon Lakes
Chuncheon is a city surrounded by lakes. With the Uiam and Chuncheon dams on the Bukhangang River and the Soyanggang Dam, completed in 1973, on the Soyanggang River, Uiamho, Chuncheonho and Soyangho lakes came to wrap around the city.
That's why Chuncheon is called "the city of lakes." Take the Gyeongchun Line from Seoul up along the river and you can watch the water grow wider and wider.
On autumn mornings when the temperature drops, mist often rises over the lakes. As the sun climbs, it slowly lifts and the shadows of the mountains reappear on the water.
While you listen
A long reverb is left to spread like mist. On a day full of thoughts, it's fine to play it on repeat until your mind settles.
Getting there
From Yongsan or Cheongnyangni Station, take the ITX-Cheongchun or the Gyeongchun Line subway to Chuncheon or Namchuncheon Station.
