About Andong Hahoe Village
Hahoe means "where the water turns and flows." The name comes from the way the Nakdong River wraps around the village in an S-shape.
The Pungsan Ryu clan has lived here for generations. In 2010, together with Yangdong Village in Gyeongju, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the "Historic Villages of Korea." The Hahoe Byeolsingut mask dance drama and the Hahoe masks were also handed down in this village.
Climb Buyongdae cliff across the river and the whole village of thatched and tiled roofs lies below you. On the day of the first snow, a white line is drawn along every roof.
While you listen
High notes follow one another like a music box, like snowflakes falling. Listen on a night when you're waiting for this year's first snow.
